Kanpur: An FIR has been registered against two youths for allegedly gang-raping a 20-year-old woman in a Kanpur hotel on Aug 10.Police said the woman had met one of the accused, Sarwan, through Instagram. In her complaint, the woman alleged that she left her home around 11am on Aug 10 and met Sarwan at a nearby sweet shop.She alleged that Sarwan took her to a temple, where he gave her prasad laced with a sedative.When she started feeling dizzy, the accused took her to a hotel in Ghantaghar, where another youth, Sagar, joined him. The woman alleged that the two gang-raped her and made obscene videos of her.The woman told her family about the incident the next day, following which they approached the police.Barra inspector Ravindra Kumar Srivastava said a case has been registered against both the accused under charges including gang rape, and efforts are on to trace and arrest them.
