Bengaluru: A dispute over an unpaid loan turned fatal in Gollarahatti after a 47-year-old plumber suffered a fatal head injury when his friend allegedly assaulted him and pushed him onto a gravel road.The deceased, Srinivasaiah of Rathnanagar, lived with his wife and two sons. According to his son Darshan S, he left home around 9.30am Saturday and was later found critically injured on Pipeline Road.Darshan said suspect Harish called him around 4.40pm, claiming his father had fallen near a shop. When Darshan reached the spot, Harish was missing, while another person, Manjunath, and locals had placed Srinivasaiah in an ambulance. He was taken to two private hospitals and was declared dead at the second facility.According to Manjunath, Srinivasaiah had lent money to Harish through a person named Jagadish, but Harish had failed to repay it and had been avoiding him.Darshan alleged that Harish met his father between 4.30pm and 4.40pm and an argument over the loan escalated into a fight. Harish allegedly assaulted him, held him and pushed him onto the gravel road, causing a severe head injury. He later allegedly called Darshan with a false account before fleeing. Byadarahalli police have registered a murder case and are trying to nab Harish.
