While visitors will be allowed inside from Mar 3 evening, the entry of vehicles will remain closed till Mar 7.The closure of the gates will cause inconvenience to motorists, particularly two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and cars, which navigate through the park to travel to either side of the city.Residents living in Kadma and Sonari areas travel through the park to reach Sakchi and Mango areas to avoid traffic on Straight Mile Road, which connects Kadma to Sakchi.During school hours, the rush of vehicles on Straight Mile Road is heavy and causes congestions on the stretch between Keenan Stadium and Fire Temple. “With the park now closed, vehicular traffic will be significantly high on other roads,” Sunny Sharma, a real estate trader who lives in Kadma, said.Usually, vehicular movement is banned through the park during the picnic season (Dec 25 – Jan 1).
