Patna: A total of 5,446 eligible landless families across Bihar were given land allotment certificates under Abhiyan Basera-2 on Saturday, revenue and land reforms minister Dilip Kumar Jaiswal said. He said the state govt aims to distribute allotment certificates to 30,000 landless families by Aug 15.According to the minister, the govt, under the leadership of CM Samrat Choudhary, is committed to ensuring that no eligible landless family is deprived of homestead land rights.Gaya topped the list with 407 allotment certificates, followed by Nalanda (378), Patna (363), Aurangabad (296), Banka (282), Katihar (222), Begusarai (210), Kishanganj (209), Munger (204), Samastipur (189), Gopalganj (187), Vaishali (178), Madhubani (175), Bhagalpur (172), Khagaria (161), Nawada (157), Saran (151), Saharsa (147), Muzaffarpur (138), Rohtas (130), Darbhanga (119), Jamui (111), Madhepura (99), Supaul (98), Kaimur (81), East Champaran (70), Araria (69), Lakhisarai (61), Bhojpur (57), Sheikhpura (57), Jehanabad (56), Sitamarhi (48), West Champaran (47), Sheohar (28), Siwan (25), Purnia (24), Buxar (23) and Arwal (17).
