Gurgaon: Two men allegedly robbed a scooter rider of Rs 22,000 after staging a fake accident near Chiranjeevi Hospital last Sunday.Victim Dindayal Saini, a resident of Patel Nagar, said while he was going towards Jharsa, an unknown man on an Activa signalled him to stop, claiming that another person behind him wanted to speak to him.After he stopped near Chiranjeevi Hospital, another man approached him and alleged that his hand was fractured after being hit by his scooter, even though, according to Saini, his scooter did not come into contact with anyone.As Saini got embroiled in an argument, one accused grabbed his legs while the other allegedly stole Rs 22,000 in cash from his pocket. Both suspects then fled the spot on a two-wheeler. Saini said he was unable to note the registration number of their vehicle.

He immediately called the police emergency helpline, following which a team reached the spot. Based on his complaint, a case was registered under Section 303 (theft) of BNS against the unidentified accused at Sector 40 police station.Further investigation is underway.
