Prayagraj: Two members of a family including a woman and her infant were killed while her husband and daughter sustained serious injuries when a car carrying them collided head on with a speeding ambulance near Sarsawan primary health centre under the limits of Maheva Ghat police station of Kaushambi district on Monday.The deceased identified as Saima Farooqui (32) and her son Abbas (six months), were residents of Pratapgarh. Both the injured persons including Faizan Farooqui (36) and his daughter Manaal (6) were referred to SRN hospital, Prayagraj for treatment.Police said the deceased woman was a primary school teacher in Rajpur and the family was on their way to Rajapur in Chitrakoot. The driver of the ambulance managed to escape from the spot. Bodies have been sent for post mortem.
