T’puram: Two Class X students of Govt Model Higher Secondary School, Varkala, have been reported missing after they allegedly failed to reach school on Wednesday, prompting a police investigation.The missing students are Akshay (15) of Cherunniyoor, and Vaishnav (15) of Melvettur.According to police and school authorities, the boys left their respective homes on Wednesday morning, informing their families that they were going to school. However, school authorities later informed the parents that the students did not attend classes.When the boys did not return home by evening and their whereabouts remained unknown, their families began a search. As efforts to trace them proved futile, the parents approached Varkala police and lodged a complaint.Varkala police registered a missing persons case and launched a probe. Police said efforts are under way to trace the students, including collecting details about their recent movements and examining possible leads. Further probe is in progress.
