Patna: CM Samrat Choudhary will inaugurate metro services between the Bhootnath and Malahi Pakri stations on Thursday. All preparations for the inauguration have been completed, an official said.“After the inauguration, metro operations will begin from ISBT to Malahi Pakri,” Vinay Kumar, principal secretary, urban development and housing department (UDHD), said on Wednesday.Metro operations commenced on a 3.2-km stretch between ISBT and Bhootnath on Oct 6, 2025, along the first corridor of Phase I of the Patna Metro Rail Project. Eight months later, on July 2, the CM will extend the service from Bhootnath to Malahi Pakri.“After this, residents of Patna will be able to avail metro services on an approximately 6-km stretch from ISBT to Malahi Pakri. This will make commuting easier,” a UDHD official said.He added that construction work at Khemnichak metro station has almost been completed and preparations are underway to commence metro operations from the station within a fortnight.
