Bhubaneswar: The school and mass education department on Wednesday said the process of revising textbooks for classes I to VIII is still underway and assured that the corrected editions will be supplied to students soon.The statement followed after a section of parents and teachers claimed to have found fresh errors in the revised PDF version of the Jhulana-1 Odia textbook for Class I. The group also pointed to alleged mistakes in Bande Utkala Janani printed in the textbook.Rejecting the allegations, the department said the claims were unfounded. In a post on X on Wednesday evening, the department clarified that textbook revisions are being carried out in consultation with educationists and subject experts. It added that the updated textbooks will be made available to students after the review process is completed.
