Salem: DMDK general secretary Premalatha Vijayakanth campaigned in Omalur on Saturday evening, seeking votes for party candidate Elangovan.She praised DMK-led alliance under chief minister M K Stalin and said it would win more than 200 seats. “Stalin will become chief minister again and we (DMDK) will work to ensure that election promises made for Omalur are fulfilled.” She criticized sitting AIADMK MLA Mani, stating he failed to thank voters, did not open an MLA office, and neglected constituency visits. “If Elangovan wis, Omalur will be developed with a free computer and AI training centre that will be named after “Captain”, an agricultural college, a modern library, Cauvery surplus water to fill local lakes, improved drinking water supply, increased police patrols for women’s safety at night, and a full-time legislative office to address public grievances.
