Vadodara: A security guard at SSG Hospital was arrested on Monday for allegedly murdering a woman in Padra taluka two days ago. The accused, Mahesh Chauhan, was in a relationship with Parvati Thakore, a Bharuch resident who worked as a sanitation worker at SSG Hospital.Police said Chauhan and Thakore were travelling on his motorcycle in Padra on July 11 when they got into a heated argument. Thakore allegedly insisted on living with him, but Chauhan was unwilling, leading to a verbal altercation.
According to police, Chauhan then took Thakore to a canal in Padra, where he allegedly struck her on the head with an iron rod, killing her. He is accused of dumping her body in the canal before fleeing the spot.Locals later spotted the body and alerted the police. During the investigation, officers traced and arrested Chauhan.
