Kanpur: A 42-year-old man died after a speeding truck hit his bicycle from behind on the Gujaini Elevated Highway late Saturday.Following information from bystanders, personnel from Gujaini police station took him to Lala Lajpat Rai (LLR) Hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.Police used the mobile phone found in his pocket to inform his family about the incident.The victim, Gaurav Trivedi, was a resident of Dabhauli and worked at a printing press in Dada Nagar.The family said Gaurav was returning after his night duty when the accident occurred.Station House Officer Rajan Sharma said the truck driver fled the scene and efforts are underway to nab him.
