Prayagraj: The 11-member committee probing the Phaphamau-based cold storage collapse incident that claimed lives of four persons and left 18 others injured is expected to submit its report to DM Manish Kumar Verma on Wednesday.The committee comprised members from departments like horticulture, fire, police, administration, PWD, PDA, PMC, power and labour department and led by ADM (finance). All the departments have submitted their respective reports compiled together. The state authorities had placed district horticulture officer Saurabh Srivastava under suspension on March 24, a day after the incident, on the charges of negligence. The report of labour department too indicated that the cold storage was not registered under the Factories Act. The police, on its part, have sent six persons, including ex-MLA of Samajwadi Party and owner of the cold storage Ansar Ahmed, who were named in the FIR, behind the bars. tnn
