Prayagraj: A joint team of SOG and Sarayinayat police on Tuesday arrested four people involved in printing and smuggling fake currency.Rahul Yadav (28), Vivek Kumar Yadav (26), Narendra Yadav alias Virat (26), and Dharmendra Kumar, residents of Bhadohi and Deoria respectively, were arrested near Sahson crossing. Police have seized fake currency notes of Rs 1.18 lakh in denominations of Rs 500 and 200, a car, a bike and printing apparatus from their possession. All arrested miscreants have been booked under Section 178, 179 and 180 of BNS. Police said that Dharmendra was jailed on similar charges earlier too. He along with others was operating the gang. The miscreants used to print fake currency in a small room in Deoria and later pump it into small rural markets. tnn
