Kanpur: Kanpur Crime Branch and Kakadev police arrested an alleged drug trafficker, Alok Saini Kapali, and recovered 10 kg of ganja and around 100 g of smack from his house in Kakadev on Thursday, police said.Police raided his house near Gita Nagar Metro Station after receiving information that narcotic substances were stored there. The operation was conducted by a team led by Crime Branch ADCP Sumit Sudhakar Ramteke, along with ACP Swaroop Nagar and Kakadev police.Saini has nine criminal cases already registered against him, police said.He is being questioned to ascertain the source and intended recipients of the seized narcotics. Police are also investigating people who were in contact with him and other accused linked to the drug network.
