Rajkot: A 21-year-old masonry worker was arrested for allegedly kidnapping and repeatedly raping a 16-year-old girl in Bhesan taluka of Junagadh district. The accused a resident of Chuda village, reportedly lured the teenager into a romantic relationship under the false pretext of marriage.The case came to light on March 21, when the girl’s mother approached Bhesan police station to report her daughter missing. According to police sources, the accused had allegedly lured the minor into an emotional relationship, promising to marry her before initiating physical contact. The situation reportedly escalated two days before the complaint, when the accused allegedly kidnapped the girl.Police located the minor and reunited her with her family within hours. Police have registered a case against him under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
