The Government Engineering College in Buxar celebrated World Water Day with a vibrant event focused on water conservation. With the support of the NCC, students delved into the essential nature of water and their role in protecting it. Embracing the theme ‘Every Drop Counts’, the event featured inspiring lectures, dynamic discussions, and an initiative to promote conservation practices.

Buxar: An awareness seminar and a series of activities on water conservation were organised at Govt Engineering College (GEC), Buxar, to mark World Water Day on Sunday. The programme was conducted under the guidance of 30 Bihar Battalion NCC, Buxar, with a special focus on the conservation and sustainable use of water resources.Addressing the gathering, college principal Ram Naresh Rai said, “Water is life, and its conservation is the responsibility of every citizen.” He urged students to become more conscious of water conservation and actively spread awareness about its importance in society.Held under the theme “Every Drop Counts – Save Water, Save Future,” the seminar featured an awareness lecture, discussions on the importance of water, and a water conservation and preservation drive.NCC cadets and students participated enthusiastically, sharing their views on various aspects of water conservation. A speech competition was also organised, drawing active participation. Amit, a third-year student, delivered an inspiring speech on water conservation that received wide appreciation.
