Ahmedabad: Born with a condition that made even standing a struggle, Parv Thacker defied the odds to become a Guinness World Record holder before he turned two. From early medical challenges to recording over 50 songs, Parv is now a global ambassador for clubfoot awareness and a rising musical talent with his family by his side.On April 14, 2019, coinciding with Ram Navami, Parv — then just one year and 342 days old — recorded his debut album, ‘Parv – The Youngest Singer’.The 50-minute album, featuring seven mantras, earned him a Guinness World Record as the Youngest Singer to Release an Album (Male). On the same day, his family formed a band in his name — ‘Parv Fusion Band’.His journey began long before the music. For doctors Krupesh Thacker and Pooja Thacker, already parents to a daughter, Vacha, the fifth-month sonography brought shocking news: their unborn child had clubfoot. “As doctors, we understood the medical side but as parents, our search for answers began that very second,” Krupesh said.Born in 2017, Parv’s treatment started in infancy to prevent permanent disability. For nearly two years, his tiny legs were in heavy plaster casts, changed weekly through painful stretches. “He cried for years because of the pain,” his father says. “But those cries strengthened his vocal cords, giving him the strong voice he has today.”To comfort him, his parents turned to music. Parv began singing before he could speak clearly, and by one-and-a-half, he was hitting the right notes naturally, amazing even trained listeners.Parv, now 8 years old, has recorded over 50 songs with his band and is receiving formal classical music training. While his father and elder sister join him as co-singers, his mother manages his daily routine and recording schedules. “We realized there was no global ambassador for clubfoot awareness in India,” said Krupesh. “So we dedicated Parv’s music to that cause.” Hungama Music joined the Global Clubfoot Awareness Parv initiative when Parv was four, helping spread the message further. The family recently submitted their album ‘Sound of Sanatan: Vol. 1′ for Grammy consideration, making Parv likely the youngest Indian to reach that stage. Currently in Class 4, he will move to full-time homeschooling next year to balance academics with his growing global mission.
