COIMBATORE: A man working at an eatery in Karumbukadai in the district was found murdered on Monday morning. Police suspect the man might have been beaten to death with a steel burner of a stove by his colleague, who is absconding. The deceased has been identified as G Bhagyaraj Naveen, 40, of Sirukudi village near Natham in Dindigul district. He was a supplier at an eatery named ‘Parotta Veedu’. Naveen was staying at the eatery. Another staff member of the eatery, M Dhayanidhi, 42, of Kottur in Avarampatti in Dindigul district, was also staying with him. On Sunday night, they allegedly consumed liquor and got into a fight. The next morning, Dhayanidhi was missing from the eatery, and Naveen was found dead. Locals informed the Karumbukadai police, who rushed to the spot and sent the body to the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital for postmortem.After postmortem, Naveen’s body was handed over to the family members on Monday evening. The police have registered a murder case and formed a special team to nab the suspect.
