Srinagar, Mar 26: Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan has arrived in Srinagar for the shooting of his upcoming untitled film in the valley.
A member of the production team coordinating the shoot in Kashmir told Rising Kashmir that filming commenced on March 25. “The team is scheduled to shoot in Srinagar for two days, after which they will move to Pahalgam for a three-day schedule,” he said, adding that the shoot is expected to conclude on March 29.
He further said that portions of the film are being shot at various locations across Srinagar, with subsequent scenes planned in the scenic Aru valley.
The shooting is being conducted under tight security, and the exact locations have not been disclosed by the production team.
Kartik is joined by South Indian actor Sreeleela, and the film is said to be an intense musical love story directed by acclaimed filmmaker Anurag Basu.
Initially slated for release during Diwali 2025, the filmmaker recently indicated that the film’s release has been delayed due to unspecified reasons. It is now expected to hit theatres in April 2026.
The Kartik–Sreeleela starrer was tentatively titled Aashiqui 3, but the makers are yet to officially announce the final title due to ongoing issues and disputes.
Last year, Kartik and his co-star shot portions of the film in Gangtok, Sikkim, with visuals from the shoot going viral on social media.
The actor appears to be captivated by the valley. He recently wrapped up the second schedule of another untitled sports drama filmed in the snow-covered landscapes of Pahalgam.
Earlier, in 2024, Kartik shot his award-winning sports drama Chandu Champion in Pahalgam, while in 2023, he filmed Satyaprem Ki Katha in Srinagar alongside Kiara Advani.
