Times News NetworkKanpur: The forthcoming Barawafat festival is set to begin on the evening of August 25 and will conclude on August 26 with the taking out of the procession.In preparation for the festival and the procession, the entire circle police force of the Central Zone, along with traffic police and the officers concerned conducted a thorough inspection of the procession route under the guidance of additional police commissioner (Law and Order) Vipin Tada. They assessed security, traffic, and other essential arrangements. During the inspection, instructions were issued regarding the tasks to be undertaken by the Nagar Nigam and other relevant departments for the arrangements related to the event, as well as the necessary security measures to be implemented by the police.From a security perspective, a sufficient number of police personnel were deployed. Adjustments were made to the orientation and coverage of CCTV cameras along the procession route, and continuous monitoring was ensured at key locations and along the procession route using drone cameras. Barricading and traffic diversion arrangements were established at necessary points to maintain smooth traffic flow and public convenience during the procession.Meetings and discussions were conducted with the organizers and Muslim religious leaders to ensure that the Barawafat festival and procession are conducted peacefully, safely, and in a spirit of harmony.
