Times News NetworkKanpur: The first Nature Walk of the second year was inaugurated by director, Etawah Safari Anil Patel under the aegis of Etawah Safari Park and Society for Conservation of Nature at Etawah Safari Park.Patel said that Etawah Safari Park was developed over about 350 hectares. It had safaris of five protected category wildlife species, along with a breeding centre for Asiatic lions. He said naturally occurring wildlife, trees and plants, and insects are also getting conservation in this safari.Eminent doctors, teachers, businessmen, students, girl students and children participated in the Nature Walk, while the role of experts was played by biologists BN Singh, Mukesh Chaudhary, Atri Gupta, Kamal Kumar and ISCON general secretary Rajeev Chauhan.Manish Sahay said that during today’s walk, about 153 species of trees and plants, 23 species of birds, and 21 species of butterflies were seen. In the walk, the forest area was visited and participants also got an opportunity to closely observe Asiatic lions and leopards and understand their behaviour and habitat.
