Jain community to mark Mahavir Jayanti with concert, processionThe city’s Jain community will host a grand celebration on the eve of Mahavir Jayanti on March 30, the Bharatvarshiya Teerthakshetra Committee announced at a press conference on Saturday. The festivities will feature a ‘Jain concert’ by musician Vaibhav Bagmar, alongside a kavi sammelan by Shailesh Lodha. Organizers said the event will also include a replica of the royal court of Maharaja Siddhartha and Mata Trishala. A procession led by organizations in the city is planned for March 31 to mark the occasion.Astrophysicist shares her journey at AMADr Ekta Shah, an astrophysicist, delivered the 16th Dr Lalita Iyer Memorial Lecture at Ahmedabad Management Association (AMA) on Saturday. She said that the six early galaxy protostructures were named after the six senses in the Indian language to make science more relatable. She emphasized the need for a hands-on, project-based learning in scientific education and shared her vision of building an interdisciplinary research space.
