Ahmedabad: Ahmedabad witnessed cloudy skies through Monday, with the city recording an average of 1mm of rainfall during the afternoon hours. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast continued cloud cover for Tuesday, along with the possibility of one or two spells of rain across the city.Temperatures stayed close to seasonal norms, with the maximum touching 32 degrees celsius and the minimum settling at 25.4 degrees celsius. Humidity levels remained elevated throughout the day, at 89% at 8.30am and 77% in at 5.30pm.Explaining the weather pattern, IMD officials pointed to an upper-air cyclonic circulation currently positioned over central Rajasthan, a second circulation over western Madhya Pradesh, and a shear zone stretching across central and north peninsular India.These combined systems are expected to trigger light to moderate rainfall in parts of the state over the coming days.Rainfall data showed that 107 talukas across Gujarat received 1mm or more rain by 8pm on Monday. Pardi in Valsad topped the list with 34mm, followed by Dharampur at 32mm. Subir in Dang recorded 28mm, Khergam in Navsari logged 24mm, while Dang taluka itself received 22mm, among other areas that saw notable showers.
