AUTOMATION ANYWHERE MOU EXHANGE PROGRAM

Gandhinagar: Gujarat govt on Monday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with automation and artificial intelligence company Automation Anywhere to strengthen the state’s AI ecosystem, with the company committing around Rs 100 crore over the next 10 years towards youth training, capacity building and AI-related initiatives.The MoU was signed by department of science and technology (DST) in the presence of science and technology minister Arjun Modhwadia. Automation Anywhere co-founder and COO Ankur Kothari represented the company at the signing ceremony, according to an official statement.Under the agreement, AI and machine learning awareness and capacity-building programmes will be organised for students, youth, govt officials and employees, MSMEs, startups and academic institutions across Gujarat. The programmes will include training sessions, workshops, seminars, webinars, boot camps and certification courses.Automation Anywhere will provide financial support of about Rs 100 crore over the 10-year period and bear the costs of trainers, subject matter experts and mentors for programmes focused on AI, ML and emerging technologies. The company will also provide training curricula, learning material and a certification framework.Trainees will additionally get access to community edition licences of the company’s no-code/low-code Automation Success Platform, allowing them to gain hands-on experience in automation technologies.Modhwadia said the collaboration would help further strengthen Gujarat’s AI ecosystem by promoting awareness, capacity building and cooperation among the govt, industry and academic institutions. He said the initiative was being undertaken under the guidance of chief minister Bhupendra Patel.The DST will coordinate with govt departments, educational institutions, youth groups, industry bodies, startups and other stakeholders for implementation of the programmes.
