NEW DELHI: Around 200 passengers at Delhi airport were left stranded late Saturday evening after an Etihad Airways flight to Abu Dhabi was cancelled due to a technical issue with the Boeing 787 aircraft, with passengers deboarded and left looking for alternative travel options.Multiple passengers travelling on Etihad flight EY217 from Delhi to Abu Dhabi said the flight was scheduled to depart at 9.15pm.Around 200 passengers were deboarded from the aircraft after the crew informed them that the plane had developed a technical issue, according to the passengers.After waiting for several hours, passengers were informed that the flight had been cancelled, leaving them to seek alternative options to reach Abu Dhabi.According to flight-tracking website Flightradar24.com, EY217 was scheduled to be operated by a Boeing 787-9 aircraft.Specific details of the technical issue could not be immediately ascertained.(With PTI inputs)
