Kanpur: A class X student was found hanging inside her house in Auraiya district on Sunday, police said. The incident took place in Chirkua village in the Bidhuna area.She was alone at home at the time of the incident. Her father went out for some work, while her mother went to the field for household chores. When the mother returned around 12 noon, she called out to her daughter to open the door but received no response for a long time. She finally reached inside the house through the roof with the help of neighbours. On seeing her hanging from a noose inside the house, she started screaming. Hearing the mother’s cries, more neighbours and villagers reached the spot within a short while. The family informed the police. Her father was also informed over the phone.Police reached the spot, brought down the body from the noose, took it into custody, and sent it for post-mortem. Police began investigating the case by questioning the family and the people in the surrounding area. Station House Officer Mukesh Babu Chauhan said that the body was taken into custody and sent for post-mortem. He said police were conducting a thorough inspection of the crime scene and that the situation would become clear only after the post-mortem report.
