Addressing a press conference, the former Uttar Pradesh chief minister alleged that such speculation was being circulated using artificial intelligence (AI) tools to mislead the public.
“It is absolutely wrong, false, baseless and fabricated news. These discussions are being deliberately spread to misguide people,” she said, urging political leaders and sections of the media to refrain from promoting unverified claims.
Mayawati reiterated that she has repeatedly announced the BSP’s decision to contest elections on its own. She recalled making a public declaration to this effect at a mega rally in Lucknow on October 9, 2025, the death anniversary of party founder Kanshi Ram.
“After nationwide discussions on that announcement, there should be no confusion. Yet some people and certain media sections are engaged in a malicious campaign to spread false news. This is an anti-BSP tactic and people should not pay attention to it,” she said.
The BSP chief also alleged that the Indian National Congress, Samajwadi Party and Bharatiya Janata Party have a “narrow mindset” and oppose the ideology of B. R. Ambedkar, adding that any talk of alliance with the BSP is driven purely by electoral self-interest.
“Alliance politics has harmed the BSP in the past. Therefore, party workers are fully committed to contesting the 2027 Assembly elections alone with complete dedication,” she said.Calling on party workers to stay focused, Mayawati urged them not to be distracted by what she termed conspiracies by rival parties. She said the BSP should move ahead confidently with the aim of forming a full majority government in the state, as it did in 2007.
Responding to the controversy over the allotment of a Type-8 bungalow to her in Delhi, she said that as a former chief minister and BSP president facing security threats, she has been allotted similar accommodation in the past as well.
“No narrow or malicious politics should be played over this issue,” she said, adding that attempts to keep the BSP out of power would intensify as elections draw closer. She appealed to party workers to remain prepared and work wholeheartedly for the upcoming polls.
Earlier, Mayawati had also dismissed speculation about her retirement from active politics. The 68-year-old four-time former chief minister alleged that the “casteist media” was propagating “fake news” about her stepping back from politics.
“To foil the conspiracies of opponents to weaken the Ambedkarite caravan of the Bahujans, like Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar and the venerable Kanshi Ram ji, my decision to remain dedicated to the self-respect and self-esteem movement of BSP till my last breath is firm,” she said in a post on X.With inputs from PTI
