Ahmedabad: The 30th annual convention of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) will be held in Ahmedabad from Oct 2 to 4, office-bearers of the body said in Ahmedabad on Sunday.A meeting was convened in the city to plan various aspects of the convention. Office-bearers of the board said that about 250 members of AIMPLB and another 250 invitees will attend the three-day event in Ahmedabad.Maulana Habib Ahmed Faisal Ahmed Pathan, principal of Jamia Faizanul Quran in Saraspur, said that various issues impacting the Muslim community and the impact of legislation like the Waqf (Amendment) Act and the UCC will be discussed at the annual convention.Organisers said the meeting was presided over by the AIMPLB president, Maulana Khalid Saifullah Rahmani, and attended by Maulana Fazlurrahim Mujaddidi, general secretary of the board, among others.
