Guwahati: Air India Express has waived cargo charges for relief supplies bound for flood-hit Assam.The waiver applies to its Guwahati flights from Delhi, Bengaluru and Kolkata, allowing registered NGOs and recognised relief agencies to transport humanitarian supplies.“Eligible consignments may include relief materials such as food and dry rations, drinking water, medicines, hygiene and sanitation kits, clothing, blankets, tarpaulins and other essential humanitarian supplies, subject to applicable regulatory requirements and Air India Express’ verification, acceptance and carriage policies,” the airline said Monday.Air India Express operates six daily flights from Delhi, three from Bengaluru and two from Kolkata to Guwahati.Relief organisations can email relief@airindiaexpress.com or call +91 7982118680 with their credentials and cargo requirements. The airline’s cargo team will coordinate documentation, packaging and flight allocation, subject to capacity and operational feasibility.
