Times News NetworkKanpur: A 63-year-old man died while his 45-year-old nephew was seriously injured after a speeding car hit their motorcycle near Mirai Gate in the Narwal police station area of Kanpur on Wednesday morning.According to information, Shiv Narayan (45), a resident of Akhari village, was taking his uncle Ramkumar (63) on a bike at around 6:30 in the morning to Khumankheda in Fatehpur to buy crop saplings. A speeding car coming from the direction of Purwamir hit the bike near Mirai Gate. The impact threw both riders into a ditch along with the bike. The driver fled from the spot.Police reached the spot after receiving information and took both men to Sarsaul Community Health Centre, where doctors declared Ramkumar dead. Shiv Narayan, son of Badlu, was referred to the district hospital as his condition was critical. Narwal police station in charge Anil Kumar Singh said, “Legal action is being taken against the car driver. The car has been taken into custody.”
