Jhansi: Two people died and around a dozen were injured when a private bus travelling from Prayagraj rammed into a stationary truck parked near the Baragaon area on the Jhansi-Kanpur highway early Wednesday.According to police, the driver is suspected to have dozed off behind the wheel, leading to the crash.The impact left the front portion of the bus severely damaged. The driver got trapped under the wheels and died on the spot.Police reached the spot after receiving information and shifted the injured to a hospital, where one of them succumbed to injuries during treatment.SP City Preety Singh said three of the injured were still undergoing treatment, while the others were discharged later in the day.Further investigation is underway.
