Gandhinagar: More than 5.14 lakh unusable items were discarded in the seven-day Namo Swachhata Abhiyan, an intensive cleanliness drive held at govt hospitals, medical colleges, and health centres from July 1 to 7. In addition, 41,681 items including metal and wooden furniture, ambulances, vehicles, medical devices and electronic equipment were repaired during the weeklong drive, a health department statement said. As a result, 1,806 rooms were cleared and made available for use, the statement added.
