Prayagraj: Khuldabad police on Tuesday arrested four miscreants including Mohammad Zaid, Ayan, Meezaan and Shamsul, residents of Kareli and Kaiserganj, respectively for allegedly selling biryani cooked with cow meat at a resturant. Police said the miscreants were operating a restaurant in Roshan Bagh area were selling biryani and kebabs cooked with cow meat. Police claimed they had sent sample of the meat for forensic examination.Khuldabad police said volunteers of VHP (gau raksha wing) had on Sunday registered a complaint with police accusing the restaurant operators of selling dishes cooked with cow meat. VHP volunteers also alleged that they were threatened of dire consequences when they raised objections, following which, was registered FIR under appropriate sections.Meanwhile, a joint team of SOG and Dhoomanganj police on Tuesday arrested two burglars Hamza Ansari (29) and Kashish Srivastava ( 26), residents of Ghaus Nagar and Dariyabad and seized from them Rs 1.48 lakh cash, two mobile phones, one bike and stolen gold and silver jewellery worth lakhs. They were arrested near Subedarganj road while planning to escape from the city. Police said 13 criminal cases against Hamza and 12 against Kashish were pending in different police stations of the city.
