Nagpur: As many as 216 polling parts across Nagpur district have achieved 100% digitisation of Enumeration Forms under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR).According to the latest district data, Kamptee leads the district with 89 fully digitised polling parts, followed by Ramtek (68). Katol has 22 polling parts that have completed digitisation, followed by Umred (19), Saoner (12), Hingna (4), and Nagpur South West and Nagpur East with one each. The number of fully digitised polling parts has risen steadily over the past few days as the administration has intensified the exercise through facilitation centres, special camps and targeted field visits. Booth-level officers (BLOs) are spending more time digitising received forms while collecting pending Enumeration Forms to speed up the revision process.Officials expect the number of fully digitised polling parts to increase further as the district works towards completing the SIR exercise within the Election Commission’s prescribed timeline. However, the constituency-wise data highlights a sharp rural-urban divide. Rural and semi-urban constituencies such as Kamptee, Ramtek, Katol and Umred account for the overwhelming majority of fully digitised polling parts, while most urban constituencies are yet to make similar progress.Officials attributed the gap to frequent migration, locked houses, rented accommodation and the difficulty of contacting voters in apartment complexes, which has slowed form collection and verification.
