Amravati: A woman was killed and five others were seriously injured after a truck rammed an autorickshaw near Hivarkhed Bus Stop, about 10 km from Morshi, on Tuesday evening.According to police, the autorickshaw was going from Talni to Belora with six passengers onboard when the truck travelling from Warud-Hivarkhed towards Morshi collided with it allegedly at high speed. The impact was severe. Sheetal Ravindra Tathode, a resident of Belora Loni, died on the spot.The injured were identified as Abarao Pundlik Tathode and Shlok Ravindra Tathode, both from Belora Loni; Prajwal Madan Tidke, Akash Sheshrao Bhalavi and Irfan Pathan, all from Talni.They were rushed to the sub-district hospital in Morshi, where their condition is reported to be serious.Morshi police reached the spot and conducted a panchnama. A case was registered against the truck driver under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.Police are investigating whether speeding or negligence led to the collision. The probe is being conducted under the supervision of police inspector Rahul Athawale.
