Mysuru district minister Yathindra Siddaramaiah on Tuesday interacted with the party activists about SIR in Mysuru

Mysuru: A booth-level meeting on the special intensive revision (SIR) of electoral rolls was conducted on Tuesday across Biligere, Varuna and the T Narasipura municipal limits under the Varuna assembly constituency in Mysuru district.The meeting was led by urban development minister Yathindra Siddaramaiah, who is also the minister for Mysuru and Chamarajanagar districts. He briefed party workers and local office-bearers on the procedures in the revision of electoral rolls. The session focused on creating awareness about voter registration, correction of entries, deletion of duplicate records and inclusion of eligible new voters.Addressing the gathering, Yathindra urged the party workers to actively educate the public about the Special Summary Revision process and ensure that eligible citizens can enrol as voters or make necessary corrections to their details in accordance with the guidelines of the Election Commission.He emphasised that every eligible citizen should be allowed to exercise the democratic right to vote and directed party workers to remain in close contact with residents throughout the revision process. He also stressed the importance of assisting first-time voters, facilitating corrections in voter details, and ensuring that no eligible voter is left out of the electoral rolls.The minister called upon party workers to conduct extensive awareness campaigns at the grassroots level and extend all possible assistance to citizens so that the electoral rolls are updated accurately and comprehensively before the completion of the special summary revision exercise.
