Pune: The Chikhali police on Sunday arrested a worker from an automotive company and his three accomplices for allegedly abducting two senior company officials and threatening them to reinstate his mother, and increase his salary.An officer from the Chikhali police said the accused and his mother were employed with the company. Recently, the accused’s mother was dismissed. “Enraged, they intercepted the complainant and another senior official outside the company gate on June 24 and forced them onto motorcycles. They then took the duo to the accused’s house in Pimpri,” the officer said.The accused and his associates assaulted them and demanded that the complainant ensure his mother’s reinstatement and secure a salary hike for him. “The complainant told the accused that he would discuss the salary issue with the management. However, when he explained that his mother could not be reinstated because of company policy, the accused assaulted him again,” the officer said.After being released, they lodged a complaint with the Chikhali police on Saturday. The accused have been booked under sections 140 (abduction) and 115 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
