Nagpur: Aman Khan, nephew of notorious jailed gangster Shaiku Khan, was stabbed to death near Futala lake on Monday evening following a group clash that snowballed into a violent confrontation.CP Vishwas Nangre Patil rushed to the spot and instructed officers to nab the absconding accused within 24 hours.Trouble began when Aman, along with his friend Mayur Yadav and a few others, were at a stall along the lake promenade. Mayur got into a scuffle with hardened criminal Lalla Pandey and two of his minor associates. Aman and Mayur allegedly roughed up Lalla.Within minutes, Lalla’s elder brother Jungli, others arrived and started thrashing Mayur. When Aman rushed to his rescue, Pandey brothers, along with minors, allegedly stabbed him. A profusely bleeding Aman tried to flee but rammed a car belonging to a cop who was on leave. The cop rushed Aman to a private hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. Gittikhadan police have lodged a case against the Pandey brothers. Mayur, who sustained injuries in the clash, is recuperating in the hospital and is stated to be out of danger.Gittikhadan Police registered a case of murder against the Pandey brothers and others. A search has been launched to nab the accused. The Pandey brothers have previous cases of assault registered against them.
