Nagpur: A 37-year-old woman allegedly forced her 18-year-old daughter to pose naked for videos and photographs which were sent to a man after taking money from him.Sources in Imambada police station, where a case was registered against the woman on Tuesday for voyeurism and human trafficking besides other provisions, said that the complainant’s statement has been recorded and an investigation launched to unearth the facts.The girl told police that her mother had allegedly threatened to kill her or harm herself if she narrated the incident to her father. As per the complainant, her mother left home on April 1 this year. The complainant apprised her father of her plight recently, said police.As per an official, the case highlights alleged exploitation within the family. “Police are examining the complaint, the images and video, and the circumstances under which the mother left home,” said an official.The complainant told police that her mother took her out of the house on the pretext of going to college. The mother told the girl she had taken money from a person and instructed her to meet him and act as per his instructions, said police.A few days earlier, the accused allegedly forced the complainant to pose nude for a video and photographs, which were then seemingly sent to another person. The accused is not under arrest yet.Police sources said the survivor’s mother had left home due to physical and mental harassment by her husband who has a criminal record. The woman now stays in Mumbra near Mumbai and is reluctant to return, said police.
