Varanasi: A 50-year-old woman died after falling from the seventh floor of Awadh Apartment in the Shivpur police station area on Sunday morning. ACP Cantt Apoorv Pandey said the deceased was identified as Seema Sinha. Her family said her husband, Pankaj Kumar, is posted as a settlement officer in Sultanpur. She was staying in Varanasi for treatment for long-term depression. Despite best efforts, her condition did not improve, they added.According to reports, she allegedly opened her flat door and jumped from the seventh floor around 4 am. Residents alerted her family, who found her in a pool of blood. Police have sent the body for a post-mortem and are questioning the family members.
