Nagpur: A 32-year-old widow from Hudkeshwar area lodged a complaint against a 25-year-old man, accusing him of establishing physical relations with her on multiple occasions on the promise of marriage.One of the places mentioned in the complaint is a private hotel on Manewada Road, within the limits of Hudkeshwar police station. Police visited the spot on Aug 30.A case was registered under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for rape and sexual intercourse by deceitful means, including a false promise of marriage. No arrest has been made so far.The complainant was married in 2011 and has three daughters. She told police that her husband died of illness about three years ago. Tushar Vaidya, a resident of New Narsala, allegedly promised to support the woman by marrying her. He took her to different locations on various dates and established physical relations with her against her will, she alleged.Cops are now examining the statement, call records and sequence of events spanning several months. Investigators will also look into whether similar incidents were reported earlier from the same area. The complainant has named witnesses in her report.
