Nagpur: A man undergoing treatment for alcohol addiction jumped from the second-floor window of a ward at Govt Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) on Sunday evening. He landed on a tin shed below and suffered a fracture in one leg.Earlier, Kapil Ramteke was admitted to the Regional Mental Hospital at Mankapur. He was shifted to GMCH five days ago. Seeing him jumping from the window, the other patients raised an alarm. The doctors and nurses alerted the security personnel and the senior officials.The security personnel at the hospital alerted Ajni police after the incident. A team from Ajni police station reached the spot and began inquiring how Ramteke managed to jump out of the window and whether there was some negligence.Senior police inspector Nitin Rajkumar of Ajni police station said the man suffered a fracture in his leg but was safe. The matter was recorded in the station house diary of Ajni police station.
