Nagpur: Prof VP Tiwari assumed charge as the acting vice-chancellor of Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur (MNLU Nagpur) on Monday. Tiwari succeeds founding vice-chancellor of MNLU, Prof Vijender Kumar.Associated with MNLU Nagpur since its inception as a founding faculty member, Prof VP Tiwari has served on the executive council, academic council and research committee. He has held key roles, including convener of the Moot Court, internship, curriculum development, examination and student grievance redressal committees, as well as proctor and coordinator of IQAC. He expressed gratitude to Justice Atul S Chandurkar, judge, Supreme Court and chancellor of MNLU. He acknowledged guidance of Justice BR Gavai, ex-CJI; Justice Nitin Sambre, Judge, Delhi High Court; Justice Anil Kilor, administrative judge, High Court of Bombay, Nagpur bench; and members of the governing, executive and academic councils.
