Dumka: State health minister Irfan Ansari conducted a surprise inspection of the Phulo Jhano Medical College and Hospital (PJMCH) in Dumka on Monday. During his inspection, Ansari expressed his displeasure over the lacunae in infrastructure and services and directed administrative officials and health officials to take corrective measures.The minister observed that there is a shortage of doctors at the hospital amid growing number of patients. Announcing that he will conduct surprise inspections every fortnight to monitor the functioning of govt hospitals and review healthcare arrangements across the state, he said, “Any shortcomings in healthcare services are unacceptable at any cost. Providing quality treatment and dignified healthcare facilities to the public is our govt’s top priority.”The minister also appealed to doctors, healthcare workers, and administrative officials to work collectively for the welfare of the public and ensure better healthcare delivery.
