Patna: Wife of imprisoned RJD MLA, Ritlal Yadav, met Assembly Speaker Nand Kishore Yadav on Wednesday, raising serious allegations of harassment and death threat to her husband. Rinku Devi, talking to media following the meeting, claimed that some police officers intimidated her family by entering their residence late at night.“A senior police officer wants to kill my husband. I cannot reveal his name as he would kill me and my children if I do so,” said Rinku Devi. She further alleged that the police personnel scaled walls to enter their house at night, despite having three children at home.According to Rinku, her husband, currently held in judicial custody, is being mentally and physically tortured in solitary confinement and denied proper medical treatment. She expressed concerns about an alleged conspiracy to kill him during court transfers. Ritlal is currently lodged in Bhagalpur jail.“Despite being a legislator, Ritlal is kept in solitary confinement and subjected to mental and physical harassment. He is denied medical treatment. There is a conspiracy to murder him during his transport from jail to court by a police officer. Almost all male members of my family, along with my husband, are in judicial custody, yet the police, numbering 300, jumped over the house walls at night for inspections,” she added.The RJD legislator, who is imprisoned in a camp jail, was on a hunger strike. On June 30 evening, after treatment and examination at JLNMCH, he ate a light meal upon the doctor’s encouragement.
