Patna: Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train, which is all set to begin its journey on Shri Ramayana Yatra circuit from Safdarjung railway station in Delhi on July 25, will make stoppages at Sitamarhi — considered Devi Sita’s birth place — and Buxar in Bihar, before reaching Janakpur in neighbouring Nepal.The fully air-conditioned (AC) train will cover approximately 7,600 kilometres, also stopping at Ayodhya, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Chitrakoot, Nasik, Hampi and Rameshwaram among others over the next 17 days under the central govt’s ‘Dekho Apna Desh’ and ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ missions.According to East Central Railway’s chief public relations officer Saraswati Chandra, the train will accommodate 150 tourists in AC-1, 2 and 3 coaches. The all-inclusive package fare is fixed at Rs 1,66,380 for AC 1, Rs 1,40,120 for AC 2 and Rs 1,17,975 for AC 3 per person. However, the fare for an AC-1 coupé will be Rs 1,79,515, he said.The spiritual journey will take pilgrims across significant locations linked to the life of Lord Ram, with an aim to promote unity through tourism by connecting diverse regions and cultural landmarks of the country. The CPRO said that the tour package will include vegetarian meals, hotel accommodations, sightseeing and road transport wherever required. In addition, the tourist train coaches will be equipped with CCTV cameras and onboard security personnel to ensure the safety and comfort of passengers.
