Kanpur: Sajeti police in Ghatampur have arrested a thief carrying a cash reward on his head and against whom more than 15 theft cases are registered at various police stations.Police said the accused, a resident of Bilgawan village, primarily targeted locked houses.After conducting a recce, he would break into houses and steal cash and jewellery, police said.The cops also paraded the accused barefoot as part of an effort to send a strong message against crime in the area.Police said the arrest had helped solve several theft cases in the area and that efforts were on to trace his associates.
