Hyderabad: In a renewed legal push for a deeper probe into the murder of Andhra Pradesh former minister YS Vivekananda Reddy, his daughter Suneetha Narreddy has approached Telangana high court seeking a reinvestigation, after a CBI court earlier dismissed her plea.Justice K Sujana, hearing the matter on Monday, directed the CBI, which had earlier probed the case, to file its counter. The case has been posted to April 27 for further hearing.During the proceedings, some of the accused sought permission to be impleaded as parties in the criminal petition. This move was opposed by Suneetha’s counsel S Goutham. In a separate but related matter, the high court reserved its orders on a plea filed by one of the accused, YS Bhaskar Reddy, seeking relaxation of bail conditions.‘Quash CBI court order’Suneetha urged the court to quash the CBI court’s order to the extent that it restricts the scope of investigation. She has sought directions to the CBI to carry out a comprehensive probe into all aspects of the case, including those allegedly left unexplored or inadequately examined. The petition specifically calls for expanding the investigation to cover the larger conspiracy behind the murder, destruction of evidence, and the roles of individuals not fully examined during earlier probes. It also seeks a detailed inquiry into issues such as prior knowledge of the death, recovery of the weapon of offence, the alleged money trail, and instances of witness intimidation. She contended that a fair and complete investigation is essential to ensure justice. Meanwhile, opposing the accused persons’ petitions, Goutham informed the court that the CBI court had already heard them.
