With this addition, its total India net collection has reached Rs 1.30 crore, while the gross stands at Rs 1.49 crore. On Day 1, the film had earned Rs 60 lakh net from 1,748 shows, with an occupancy of 15%. The second-day figures indicate a slight improvement in audience turnout despite fewer shows.
‘Magudam’ vs ‘Vishwanath And Sons’
Suriya’s ‘Vishwanath And Sons,’ which was also released alongside ‘Magudam,’ remained considerably ahead of the Vishal starrer at the box office on Saturday. Its Tamil version alone collected Rs 13.75 crore net, while the Telugu version added Rs 8.50 crore net on Day 2. After two days, ‘Vishwanath And Sons’ has collected Rs 37.60 crore net in India, making its weekend start much stronger than ‘Magudam.’
